West Virginia University Campus Services

Welcome to Morgantown and Monongalia County. Whether you are a new student or a returning student, there are some new features and services you might want to check out for the school year. We've added a new Beechurst Express which is a campus connector traveling in the reverse direction of Blue & Gold Monday through Friday every 20 minutes during select peak travel times. The Blue & Gold Express travels on a 20 minute frequency between Campuses. We also added another Cassville bus route giving you 30-minute trips to University Town Centre.  The Purple Line now provides service to Suncrest Town Centre Monday through Sunday and to University Town Centre Monday through Saturday.  We've also been working on a few tools to help you with your trip planning and your trip.  Check out our Trip Assistance feature on our website that lets you plan your trip needs ahead of time using Google Transit. For iOS and Android devices we have our Bus Finder Mobile App to help you track your bus.  For not so smart phones we have our Twitter Live Feed, these tools will allow you to know where exactly your bus is at all times.  Check out the links, save time and money by avoiding traffic, parking fees and fines, and leave the driving to us!

Bus Service to WVU Faculty, Staff and Students has been prepaid. You can ride any local Mountain Line bus by swiping your valid WVU I.D. when boarding the bus.  The Grey Line traveling to Pittsburgh twice daily is the exception.

There are several schedules which serve WVU facilities, dormitories and connect to local areas of interest such as shopping malls. The schedule provided below is offered as a quick-start guide only. Or you can get a full schedule of each route here.  Printed schedules are available at several locations on campus including the Information Desk at the Mountainlair, Towers, Lincoln, The Book Exchange, Augusta Apartments, Chateau Royale, Valley View, City Finance Office, International Student Office, E. Moore Hall, Eisland Hall, Field Crest, Health Right, Library, Lincoln Hall, Mountain Peoples Coop, Mountaineer Station, Mountain Valley Apartments, Pierpont Apartments, Beechview Apartments, Ruby Hospital, Stansberry Hall Room 336, Stewart Hall, Student Health WVU, Summit Hall, Suncrest Village, The District, Timberline Apartments, WVU Admission and Records, and the Honors Dorm.

Mountain Line travels more than 900,000 miles per year with more than 1,100 hours of service per week. There are a number of transfers and connections available to meet your needs. Housing & Service

Deciding where to live is probably one of the biggest decisions you can make, take everything into consideration, including transportation.  West Run is a great option, view the schedule here.  For a chart of some common residence options and their bus service click here.  With the new 2015 construction on Evansdale Campus our Campus PM (#MLcampuspm), Downtown PM Mall (#MLmallpm), and Gold Line (#ML06Gold) will be able to travel past University Park.

Catching the Bus

Unlike some of our big-city brothers, Mountain Line offers customer-friendly service to meet YOUR needs. Buses will stop for you anywhere along the designated route. All you need to do is wait in a safe location and wave to the driver as the bus approaches. No need to hike to a bus stop to catch the bus. The exceptions to this are our West RunBlue & Gold  and Beechurst Express Routes which have now been made Express Routes in order to keep the bus on time. With a high frequency that is important on those two routes.  The Grey Line is another exception to the rule, this bus travels between Clarksburg, Fairmont, Morgantown, Waynesburg, Pittsburgh Greyhound and Pittsburgh Airport.

Mobility and Other Impairments

All Mountain Line vehicles are accessible for persons with mobility impairments. Additionally, Mountain Line will deviate off of our regular route to pick you up for $0.50 cents. Deviations must be pre-arranged by filling out a Call & Ride Application and by calling 304-291-7433.
