5311(f) Grant Application 2022

Notice is hereby given that the Monongalia County Urban Mass Transportation Authority of 420 DuPont Road, Morgantown, WV 26582_ is applying for a grant under 49 U.S.C. Section 5311(f) for both FY2022 ARPA and Formula Funds.

 

DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSED PROJECT

 

(1)      This project will fund Intercity transit service between Clarksburg, WV and Pittsburgh, PA three times a day seven days a week for the Period from July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023.

 

(2)       The 5311f funding will include $200,000 in Federal 5311F ARP Funds, American Rescue Plan Funds with no local Match, and $369,249 in 5311F Federal Funds with an equal local match. 

 

(3)       The total estimated cost of the project is $938,498 with the 5311f Federal share of $569,249 and the local share 369,249.

 

           (4)       No persons, families, or businesses will be displaced by this project.

 

(5)       The proposed project will not have a significant environmental impact upon the service area.

 

(6)       The project will take into consideration the special needs of elderly persons and people with disabilities. The vehicles are equipped with wheel chair lifts, and are ADA compliant to handle the needs of people with disabled or handicapped people.

                       

The purpose of this notice is to afford affected citizens, private transportation providers, and other interested agencies an early opportunity to examine the proposal and offer comments and/or recommendations on the overall scope of the proposed project. The grant proposal will be available for public inspection and comment for 15 days from the date of this notice.
