Service Elimination Public Hearings
Service on routes 14 Mountain Heights and 15 Grafton Road will be eliminated beginning March 13, 2023. These two routes have been replaced by the RideMon service which provides more frequent service to a larger population in those areas. Most riders have been contacted and trained on the new service, however we are asking that any remaining riders reach out to us in one of the following ways:
Public Hearings will be held at the Mountain Line Administrative Office at 420 DuPont Road, Westover, WV 26501 on the following dates:
Online public comment can be submitted via online survey at www.busride.org/rt-14-and-15-service-elimination.
Riders can also contact our Mobility Coordinator at 304.296.3869 with questions or for training on the RideMon service.
The Mountain Line RideMon service, powered by Uber, connects passengers to the local routes systems at the Hornbeck Road Walmart, Mountaineer Mall and Sabraton Goodwill. Trips can be scheduled simply by choosing the Mountain Line vehicle in the Uber app. The fare for each one-way trip will remain $0.75 cents per ride, per passenger. All existing forms of payment such as the Property Tax Pass and 15-Ride passes may be used for this new service.
More information and FAQ about the RideMon service can be found at www.busride.org/RideMon. For information on all Mountain Line bus routes and schedules, riders can call 304-291-RIDE (304-291-7433) during normal hours of operation or visit WWW.BUSRIDE.ORG.
