‘CANS FOR A CAUSE’
FOOD FOR FARE
Morgantown, WV- WAJR is holding its 15th annual food drive called “Cans for a Cause” on Tuesday October 9 and this year Mountain Line is hopping on board.
The food banks are running low on certain items and Mountain Line wants to help you help them so on Tuesday October 9th riders can bring on board one of these needed items and ride for free for the remainder of the day. Upon boarding the bus riders are to put their donations in the collection bin and your driver will give you a button to wear entitling you to ride free for the rest of the day.
The requested donation items include nonperishables such as canned soup and fruits, peanut butter, pasta, instant oats and baby food. Other items include cleaning products and paper products, toothpaste, feminine products and diapers of all sizes especially sizes two and up are needed.
Donations will also be accepted on Tuesday at Kroger in Sabraton, Kegler’s at Suburban Lanes and at the Mountain Line Westover Terminal. Proceeds benefit the United Way Family Resource Network Food and Hunger Committee.
