Mountain Line Celebrates “Endorsement day” – publishes over 600 endorsers
Morgantown, WV-
With a countywide levy on the ballot for critical transit needs, Mountain Line Transit is proud to announce the celebration of “Community Endorsement Day” on May 3rd, 2016. Over 600 community residents pledged their endorsements to support Mountain Line at the ballot box on Election Day, May 10th.
“We owe a huge debt of gratitude to the leadership shown by our supporters. These people have come forward to tell us that this levy is critical to them and our community,” said Mountain Line General Manager, David Bruffy. “I’m calling today ‘E-Day’, and I believe that these 600 plus voices speak for our entire community and they deserve to be heard,” he added.
One week before the May 10th election, Mountain Line is publishing the names of its endorsers to convey the broad support the transit levy has across Monongalia County. In addition to hosting the full list of endorsers on the Mountain Line website, the campaign will publish the names on its Facebook page (fb.com/ForMountainLine), and is asking each supporter to proudly show their support by tagging their friends and family.
“It is so easy to let someone else shoulder the responsibility, yet more than 600 residents have shown they understand the critical impact we make in the community and are willing to speak up. With over a million rides a year to important destinations like shopping and health care, these Endorsers are speaking for us all” added Bruffy, “and I’m personally humbled at their overwhelming show of support.”

After evaluation of 59 drivers in 10 performance categories, the Authority is pleased to recognize Ron McCourt as Driver of the Month for February, 2025. We also wish to recognize Tom Jones, John Porter, Craig Wilfong, and Timothy Long . All of these employees are being recognized for their demonstrated driving skills, safety, public relations, assistance to fellow drivers and maintaining route schedules in the course of their daily performance.
